It appears I haven't blogged for a few weeks so thought I had best get to it.

The latest update from Colebrook Manor is the opening of the first finished section of the newly renovated rooms. We have four modernised rooms available and I am pleased to say one is now permanently occupied, the reports so far is the new resident and family are very happy here with the whole package that is offered at Colebrook Manor.

The newly structured menu and class of food continues to be a success with our residents, and they are still continuing to have gourmet style meals freshly prepared in house. In order to ensure that we remain resident focused we recently completed a resident questionnaire to gather information about their favourite meals, this was to make sure we were not missing anything of the menu that the residents particularly wanted.
The residents were asked to tell us their favourite meals, whatever it is they really liked, out of the 21 actual residents that were staying in the home during the questionnaire period 20 of them chose a roast dinner and one selected pasty and chips. As with traditional British culture we currently have a roast dinner Sunday lunch each week and that is something that will remain the same, if a resident particularly wants something that is not on the daily menu then it can be requested in advance to the kitchen and the chefs will do their best to accommodate.

As of this week our brochures are now available and alongside the website gives information about the home to prospective admissions, they look professional and I am very pleased with them.

Since my last blog I have continued to research into the services required in Plymouth and have now started to market us further afield than just our city. It appears that there is a need for complex nursing care and it is an avenue that we as a home are looking further into, we now have a steady stream of returning clients coming for short stay periods I believe this is down to the fantastic staff team here at Colebrook Manor who are providing these clients with a positive place to stay.

The final new point to note is that our day club centre launched this week, this is a service that provides various packages and is designed for the community to provide a fun active place to visit, spend time and hopefully make friends. Donna is the day club centre manager and will be able to give anyone full details of the services available.

We hope here that the sunshine remains as long as possible, and helps keeps the positive attitudes alive and kicking.
Bye for now
